Dear friends, colleagues and family,
To the left is a photo of Jacques, on December 16, the day of his graduation. He was having difficulties standing up and had to sit for the picture. The second photo is at the hospital on December 20. Jacques collapsed on the 19th, was brought to the emergency room in Salinas and transported to Stanford University Hospital. The diagnostic: two tumors, one on the spine, one on the pelvis. He needs extensive medical treatment.
Jacques has been in intensive treatment and will need a combination of surgery, radiation and therapy to remove the tumors and get back to normal routine. While the insurance will take care of most of the medical expenses for the emergency part, we are out of pocket for the deductible--$3,500.00. He is not covered 100% for the surgery to remove the main tumor either.

A la izquierda pueden ver una foto de Jacques el 16 de diciembre, el día de su graduación. Tenía dificultades en
mantenerse de pie y se tuvo que sentar para la foto. La segunda foto fue tomada el 20 de diciembre en
el hospital. Jacques se desplomó el 19, se le llevó a emergencias en Salinas (California) y se le transportó al Hospital Universitario de Stanford. El diagnóstico: dos tumores, uno en la espina dorsal y otro en la pelvis, para los cuales necesita tratamiento médico extenso.
Jacques ha estado bajo cuidado intensivo y necesitará cirurgía para remover los tumores. Mientras el
seguro cubre en partelos gastos de la emergencia, tenemos que pagar de $3,500.00 de nuestro bolsillo. Los gastos de la cirurgía para remover los tumores tampoco los cubre el seguro al 100%, y estos gastos van a alcanzar los miles de dólares.
Jacques y yo necesitamos su ayuda. Si pueden, les pedimos consideren hacer una donación para estos gastos que siguen incrementando y/o compartir esta publicación en sus redes sociales.
