Our family fell under medical financial burden in 2012 with a hip and back surgery for mom, Tara. We have been paying on these bills but have not had the ability to pay them off because Tara has a disability rating and can only work part time as an instructor for the Washington Pavilion of Arts and Science.
On December 13th, our twelve year old son, Jacob, had surgery to correct his pectus excavatum, a chest disorder occuring in approximately one out of every 1000 children. Jacob had a pectus bar inserted in his chest to lift up his rib cage (which was growing inward) to make room for his heart and lungs to grow. He will wear the bar for 2-3 years and then have it removed.
Our dad, Andrew, works very hard as a full time carpenter for the Sioux Falls School District and often takes on side jobs to make ends meet.
We know everyone is asked to give to various causes throughout the year. We ask that you consider our family in your thoughtful giving. We want you to know every little bit helps in our battle to pay these medical bills and will reduce the worry and stress of our financial strain.

We will leave you with mom's favorite prayer for you to share with your loved ones, "Heavenly Father, Walk through my house, and take away all my worries and any illnesses, and please watch over my family and friends.
