Jack's Play Cafe

In the spring of 2019, I took my three young children to an accessible park. There weren’t any wood chips, but there was nothing my son could do. Nothing. I could tell he was getting frustrated as he saw his brother and sister running around playing. He wanted to play with them.


Tears filled my eyes as I pushed my sweet boy around in his wheelchair trying to find something he could do. Anything! It’s not that he has a genetic disorder that made me sad. It’s not that he uses a wheelchair that made me sad. It’s that we live in a world that isn’t accessible to him often. We go to places where he isn’t included often. That day, my heart was lit on fire to create a place for him & everyone like him.


Jack’s Play Cafe will provide accessible, imaginative, indoor play for children of all ages and all abilities.


We will provide parents an inviting atmosphere with comfortable seating, a desk to work, or a cafe table to enjoy healthy food and drinks, while they watch their children play in a clean, enclosed play area.


We will offer imaginative play for all abilities, especially those who use a wheelchair, for developmentally ages 6 months - 8 years old and a separate play area for 6 months to 18 months old. We will also provide a sensory room, quiet room, obstacle course room, and reading lounge with no age limits.

We will use our brand to promote inclusion, diversity, and acceptance.
