Jackson Mpagama Computer/Tech Shop

Donation protected
Jackson is raising money to open a computer/tech shop.  Jackson lives in the friendly neighborhood of Mongolandege in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I met Jackson while on study abroad and we would chat most every day after school. Jackson is a very friendly guy with a lot of drive and self-motivation. While in Tanzania, he approached me with the idea of opening a computer/tech shop. Having recently suffered the loss of his father, Jackson is trying to find work by opening the first computer/tech shop in Mongolandege near a school and in a neighborhood that doesn't have the needed printing, photographic, and computer services Jackson is working to soon provide.  Jackson has a certificate in computers and computer repair and will be able to provide internet access and computer services to his community.

Jackson is in need of funding to purchase the supplies needed to stock the shop (i.e. paper, printer toner, working cash, parts to refurbish used computers, and school supplies). We are hoping to raise the money by May 31st, 2018. This shop has been a goal in progress for Jackson for several years now.  We will be thrilled if he can open a shop, providing needed services to the neighborhood.

I am a recent college graduate working as a full-time volunteer through Mennonite Voluntary Service in Alamosa, Colorado. Consequently, I have student debt and no income.  I want to support Jackson in his endeavors, but lack the financial means to do so.  We would be so thankful for your support of this final piece of this vision.  I would be so grateful to be able to support a friend I believe in. Jackson would be so grateful to be able to realize several years of visioning.

I believe this is a wonderful cause to give to as the money for this project will support Jackson, the quality of education in the Mongolandege school, and the residents of Mongolandege.  Furthermore, US dollars stretch really far in Tanzania as the exchange rate is about 1USD:2,300 Tanzanian Shillings. 1,500Tsh is enough to buy a lunch. We appreciate any contribution you are able to make.  Asante sana. (Thank you very much!)
