Jackson Fights Cancer

Yesterday, our sweet, seven-year-old nephew, Jackson, was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell lymphoma, a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He will immediately begin inpatient chemotherapy which will continue over the next few months, most likely starting with two week long hospital stays. As you can imagine, my sister, Lianna, and her husband, Mario, are devastated to have their otherwise healthy son go through such a tough time, but they are full of faith and hope that he can and will be cured. They are in the process of transferring to a children’s hospital in Houston, TX which is three hours from their home to provide Jackson with the best care possible (they are currently stationed at Fort Hood while Mario is on active duty in the Army). We want to support them most importantly with prayers and love, but also lessen any financial stress that comes from medical bills, travel and time spent away from work. Lianna and Mario need to focus their time and energy on making the best decisions for Jackson while also caring for their 16-month-old daughter, Gianna. So please join us in rallying around the Esquivels. Jackson has a tough road ahead but he is a strong, hardworking and resilient little guy who will undoubtedly beat this!
