We want Jackson’s life to make a difference. Jackson was so kind hearted and so funny. Many times, he told me about friends that he wanted to help get into rehab. We have a crisis in this country with teen drug use, and especially in our rural community.
I know many people send flowers, and I just have to be honest. While I truly love flowers, funeral flowers make me so very sad every time I look at them.
Brian, Woody, and I are asking that in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Eagle Overlook Recovery where Jackson spent a month. The people, the therapists, and the kids there care so much and truly have a heart to help.
It is very difficult to find a facility that takes adolescents under 18, but Eagle does, and they still reach out to us to check on us. They are devastated by Jackson’s passing. They loved him and said that he was such a light.
Recovery services are expensive for those without insurance. We want to establish a fund in memory of Jackson that will help families without insurance or that do not have the funds to provide their child with the help they need. Donations made here will help young people get the interventions, help, and counseling for rehabilitation.
In the future, we would like to raise funds on Jackson’s birthday for this memorial fund.
Eagle Overlook Recovery for Adolescents provides addiction and mental health treatment for male and female teens, ages 13 to 18. They have licensed and certified clinical staff to provide medical and psychiatric care, group and individual counseling, psycho-education, peer support, and a range of outdoor activities.
