Angela Dows is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Jackson Allard and his Family.

I cannot even put into words the emotions and heart ache that my dear friends, who have become family is experiencing. I have been looking at this computer screen for over an hour, walked away several times to come back and still struggle to find the words just explain what happened, how this happened, or truly why this all happened. And BOOM that fast. Literally overnight. I just can’t make sense of this. He is a normal young 22-year-old kid out there, living it up, trying to figure out who he is and find his way. One think we know for sure, he loved selling Minky Blankets to his “fans” that were going to make him famous one day! Let me tell you he did call you all his “fans,” It was cute. I miss my Minky buddy. I want him back.

Jackson went to the clinic on October 18th with complaints of a stomach ache, he was admitted because his oxygen levels were too low, He was found to be positive for Influenza 4 (which is rare) and double pneumonia. October 23 about a week after admission, oxygen levels continues to decline so he was intubated to rest his body and give his lungs a chance to heal. After 5 days of this, now October 28th, Jackson condition still not showing signs of improvement. He was placed on and ECMO machine (life support) and transferred to the University of Minnesota
(U of M).

Jackson is currently still at the U of M fighting for his life. After seeing many doctors, many consultations from several different specialists, and many changes in treatments options as well as medication changes… It is looking like the only option for survival is a double lung transplant. Which is not what we wanted to hear.
It is a roller coaster every day.

Jacksons last words before he was intubated, “I am scared, I don’t want to be alone.” He has not been alone. By his side is his mother Jaime, Grandmother Doreen and or his father Ryan. Someone is always there and will be until he is ready to come home. Because we are holding on strong to hope he will make it home.

I am starting this fundraiser to try and give a little extra support to Jackson and his Family, to help them through this very difficult time however necessary. With a lung transplant Jackson could have to be there 12-18 months. We hope that will not be the case but we are working on getting prepared for his mom to be away from work to be by his side every step of the way. She will need to get an apartment in Minneapolis. Jaime and Doreen are going to be spending a lot of time away from their business Posh Boutique Fargo which is their livelihood. Jaime (Jackson’s Mom, also has a 13-year-old son back home in ND she is not with right now because she is at Jacksons bedside, as any mom I know would be, this is so difficult for her to also be away from Jayce).

Thank you for taking the time to read this, please say a prayer, light a candle, and or just simple keep this beautiful family in your thoughts. By the grace of God our savior, we must never give up hope, peace, joy, and love. Love your neighbors, and kiss your babies. We must stay strong. Thank you, Love Angela
