Jackie's urgent operation

Jackie is the most kind, loving & generous person I know. She would do anything for anyone in need. Unfortunately, Jackie needs help now. She recently needed to have head scans done due to migraines, which revealed a large tumour in the parotid gland. The specialist told us the tumour needs to be removed as soon as possible.
The operation is complex due to the size of the tumour, & the position behind several facial nerves. Because of this, there’s a risk of damaging her facial nerves, which could leave her with one side of her face permanently paralysed.
Unfortunately, Jackie cannot afford the $7,800 cost of having this done by a specialist. Her only other option is to go on the public hospital waiting list. Because our local hospital is now a training hospital, we were told by the specialist that the operation would be done by a trainee, if she goes through the local public hospital, (which isn't one of the big city hospitals). Whilst this may be OK for more simple surgeries, to attempt such major surgery with the risk of permanent damage to facial nerves, is of great concern.
Jackie is a young woman who is passionate about her work. If she ended up having one side of her face paralysed, it could be catastrophic.
The costs needed for the surgeon fees, hospital stay & anaesthetist are $7,800. Whilst it feels very uncomfortable asking for help, the risks involved are too great. So I would like to ask for support, to help raise enough funds for Jackie to have the tumour removed by a qualified surgeon, to give her the best chance of a good outcome. The surgery needs to be done in the next 3 weeks, as it is rated as urgent, so we really do need help.
