Jack's Proton Therapy
Donation protected
I've been given the opportunity to go to Florida for an amazing form of treatment that isn't yet available in the U.K.
Although the treatment is fully funded it comes at the cost of my parents losing money for 8 weeks, jeaprodising the chances of me going to America for the treatment.
In April 2018 I was diagnosed with a nasopharyngeal carcinoma, a less common form of cancer found in the nose and throat.
My original treatment plan was three cycles of chemotherapy followed by regular radiotherapy for 5 days a week for 6 weeks.
Radiotherapy can be very invasive and there's the risk of future cancers appearing along with hearing damage due to the radiation used.
The proton therapy is less invasive and there's minimal risk of permanent damage due to the techniques used being more targeted to the specific tumours and not putting other areas at risk
Any donatations are appreciated, big and small as every penny counts
Thankyou
