Family home destroyed by house fire

Hi,

We are the Mitchell family.

On the 27th March 2024 our Grandad has lost everything in a house fire in New Zealand.

Leaving him standing to watch his entire home burn to nothing with only a shirt, pants and pair of rubber shoes on his feet.

This home has been through our family for generations, since 1919.

Our Grandad has spent his life in this family home, continuing maintaining and building this home and land now for himself, his children and grandchildren.

Now all we see is a pile of what once was the FAMILY HOME

Unfortunately nothing was able to be saved and have lost all sentimental, photographs, clothes and entire household of belongings.

Our Grandad is safe thankfully. Although we now have absolutely nothing to help him have housing. As we live in Australia currently, we have very minimal help.

Please help us raise enough money so we can buy him a roof over his head.

Our main goal is to raise enough to provide him with a shipping container to make a small living space in until we can one day again hopefully re build.

Our Grandad put his entire hard work load into this home and dedicated all his leading up years, months and days into this property. It’s all been torn from him in a matter of moments…
