Support for Bob Tomaszewski -

Bob Tomaszewski  is the love of my best friend's life.  Sitting at dinner watching and listening to them sing "their song" made me smile.  Their love for each other beaming as they sang and smiles as they laughed together warmed my heart!  It was such a great night.   This was the day after Thanksgiving.  We were feeling happy to be celebrating together, good times, good food and great friends!

The next night we were going to hang out again but Bob wasn't feeling well so he stayed home instead.  Or we joked, he was sick of us!    He thought he just had a sinus headache.  However, after a few days at home - he just wasn't feeling any better.    On Monday he decided he better go to the doctor.  The doctor agreed that he had a sinus infection and prescribed him something to help.

Bob filled his prescription and headed back to work.  Not long after being back at work he had a seizure.  He had no history of seizures and was thoroughly checked out after being admitted in the hospital.  Within a few days found out he had a brain tumor and it needed to be removed.  Everyone was in shock.  Just last week, he didn't even have the sniffles!

After surgery, he suffered weakness to the left side of his body.  The surgery essentially caused a stroke.  He can't use his left hand, can't walk and is having trouble with his eyesight.  This is an extremley frustrating situation for "Bob The Builder" to be in.  He has always been  strong and healthy.  He is the one that does the fixing.

A few days after the surgery, another huge blow.  Bob was diagnoased with a glioblastoma.  This is a life threatening form of cancer.   The doctors were not able to completely remove the tumor and this is an aggressive cancer.

He is currently in rehab trying to gain the strength to walk and control the left side of his body.   The first week of January started his radiation/chemotherapy combination to try to kill the cancer or at least slow it down.

He got notice that due to his inability to work, he will not have health insurance as of 1/31/15.  The bills have already started coming in.  He is still in rehab and just started his treatment.  He will not be able to return to work.

Insurance will cost over $600 a month.  The money raised will be to pay for Bob's montly insurance and any costs that insurance does not cover.  Any amount will help!

I have been friends with Bob's girlfriend for 40 years.    I do not have any siblings and she has been there for me - she has been my sister.

Thank you for considering a donation to help Bob and his family.

Much Love,

Friends and Family of Bob and Katie
