Lonnie Seavey Heart Transplant Fund

Lonnie Seavey needs your help as he prepares for heart transplant surgery. Lonnie needs access to around-the-clock care within 1 hour of UCLA Medical Center for 90 days to be eligible to be placed on the heart transplant list. This will cost a minimum of $20,000 that will be used for housing, transportation to and from appointments, and nursing during his post operative care. Donations of time caring for Lonnie and/or a place to stay near UCLA can also help lower costs.


As a background on Lonnie, he has a tender spirit and is loved by many. He was born with a congenital heart defect and has undergone multiple heart surgeries since childhood. Despite these challenges, Lonnie graduated from high school and worked for Home Depot in the garden center for many years - a place that matched his love for plants and nature. Over the past few years, his heart has grown increasingly weaker and he has spent progressively more time in the hospital.
