Hello, my name is Jacob Brommer. I am a sophomore at Orlando Christian Preparatory School in Orlando.
I have one sister and four brothers. My two oldest brothers both work and are living on their own and going to college now. My little brother and sister live with my father and step mom in North Carolina. I guess I should say... technically, until mid August, I only had 3 brothers, but our family recently opened their home to my new brother, Nick. He plans to play basketball at O.C.P. in the winter. So that's how I got 4 brothers! Mom, dad, Nick, and I live in Orlando with our dog Cocoa.
Me and Nick
I've played football since I was a Tiny-Mite at age 7. As long as I can remember, I've aspired to play college football. I work very hard to maintain good grades (3.5 GPA) and I train like crazy to compete at my very best. While attending O.C.P., I have received the president’s award twice and participated in homecoming court freshman and sophomore year. I was also voted class representative by my classmates. I believe God and the affirmation of my family and friends drive me to do my very best with every opportunity given to me.
Me and Luke
During the summer, O.C.P. asked its students to write an essay about someone they admire as a leader. I chose Pastor P.J. Charles who is a mentor and youth leader at Genesis church where I attend. To my surprise, my essay was chosen and I was invited to attend Global Next "The Middle East Effect" Leadership conference held in Israel on January 2nd-10th, 2019. I understand this is not a vacation. I will be working on and learning about becoming the next generation of leaders for our country while I receive a college credit. I don't take this opportunity lightly.
So, humbly, I need your help. My mom and dad were not expecting nor planning for such an opportunity. As you can probably guess, taking care of me and my brother while we play sports and "eat them out of house and home," takes a financial toll on our family and I want to do what I can to help. If you would please consider donating, Your contribution will be a worthy investment in the life of a promising young man. I promise to make the most of this opportunity!
Thank you P.J. for being my friend and mentor!! To God be the glory and thank you for showing me the way!!!
