John Sims Funeral Fund

My dad John V. Sims passed away November 16, 2014. Dad spent 22 years in the United States Air Force, he married my mother Fayetta Marie Sims in Jan. of 1970. He spent his life treating my mother as a Queen, he had the biggest heart and loved people. He gave his all to my mom, my siblings, and anyone who needed him. He cared for my mom up to her death Oct. 14, 2012. He was heart broken and lost after moms passing, you could see there was a void in his life and he was lost with out her.  He is now reunited with the love of his life. The funeral arrangements were to be covered with a life insurance policy he had in place. Turns out that in the small print that may have been missed there was a time period that was set in order to recieve the full benifit. His policy will only cover $1,200 .  The Balance due was $12,385.95, my husband and I have paid $2,400, dads account had $5,000. My husbands brother and his wife graciously contributed $200. I am not the kind of person that asks for help. I am in a situation that I have never been in before. I don't know how to ask for help? The balance due is $3,585.95 any amount donated to help would be greatly appreciated. I know my dad would feel so bad knowing he left me with a bill i could not pay. But yet I feel so guilty that I could not do this last thing for my dad!
