Emergency Heart Surgery

I have created this page for my son Frederick.  Frederick suffered two brain strokes in 2018, causing him to leave his job of 25 years as a auditor in the Hospitality Industry. He was not able to keep his position due to the damage to his brain from the stroke. Frederick never missed one day of work in the 25 years he was employed, and when others needed to take off from work he covered for them. Frederick has one son that he raised. 

Three weeks ago, Frederick was rushed to the Emergency Room in Las Vegas due to chest pains and difficulty breathing. Upon several test and observation, the doctor conveyed to me that he had suffered a heart attack; and his right carotid artery is completely blocked. 

Since Covid-19 shut Las Vegas down for several months, my son was laid off. Upon the reopening of business's, the company which Frederick worked for was sold. The new company hired. Frederick, but his benefits did not transfer over and he now has to work for this company for 1 year before his benefits are accessible.

The Public hospital that Frederick was taken is not equipped to do the surgery required to save his life, so an order to transfer him was sent to the Cardiology Hospital in Las Vegas which was denied because he does not have insurance. So, he is sitting in the hospital for three weeks waiting for Medicaid to decide to approve him for Emergency Medical Coverage to receive the operation. 

I am a mother like so many other mother's that will do everything possible to save my son's life. I am now in the process of selling my belongings to raise funds to save my son's life.
