Help the Salvagno kids

I am writing to raise money for our niece and nephews in Albany New York - Alex, Anna and Nicholas.
In Novemeber, their mother, my husband's sister, passed away unexpectedly leaving the 3 kids without any parents to care for them. She did not have any life insuarance and the financial situation is not good. They need help.
Their father is in federal prison serving a 27 year sentence. The kids have not ever lived with him and only know him from visits and phone calls. He will not get out for another 12 years - when the youngest will be 18.
When their mother passed away a local family of 4 (2 kids) took them in for a sleep over and over the next few days offered to take them in. They went from being a family of 4 to 7 overnight. They were not close with the mother and only knew her as a mother raising 3 kids on her own. They were not aware of the back story and were surprised to learn about their father. With that said, they know the kids and do not want to see the kids get split up as they are all they have and the only family they have ever known. Their generosity and kindess is amazing given the situation.
More about the kids - Alex is 14 and has severe medical issues - he had a kidney transplant, has Asberger's and has to have medical attention everyday. Anna just turned 13 on Dec 21th and is an honors student and Nicholas is 8 years old and has a severe peanut allergy. They all loved their mother very much and miss her everyday.
The generous family that took them in need help. The most immediate need is that they need a car that all of them can ride in. If they have a emergency, their guardian cannot take her family and the 3 kids (plus Alex's nurse) in 1 car. This is scary considering Alex's medical issues and Nicholas' peanut allergy.
These kids have been through so much and have a reality that none of us can really understand so this is why they need your help. Any size donation would be appreciated. We hope to raise enough money for them to buy a large car to be able to transport them all at one time.
