Help Gus get his surgery for his broken back!

A dear friend called me today and told me a story that broke my heart. Bobby’s sister Theresa, who lives in Sardis, Mississippi, has a dog named Gus who she loves with all her heart. She rescued Gus from an abusive situation when he was just a puppy two years ago. Gus is a boxer/lab mix and is a happy guy who can’t resist garbage cans when he manages to escape. On Friday he got out of her yard and got into the neighbor’s garbage. Theresa went to the neighbor and apologized and cleaned up the mess. That should have been the end of it. But that wasn’t good enough for this monster who lured Gus to his house and began to beat him so bad that he broke Gus’s back. He beat him until Gus was unconscious and left him for dead in the freezing cold..but Gus is a fighter and managed to drag himself home to his mama.

Gus is now fighting for his life at Memphis Veterinary Specialists. They need a payment of $4000 up front before they will perform the surgery that they say will restore him back to normal. We raised $315 last night with PayPal Please help if you can and/or share this. The police have been notified, and Theresa will be pressing charges and suing this man for the damage done to Gus, but for now, she needs all the help she can get to save his life.
