Hello. I am a junior at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro studying anthropology and archaeology with a classical minor.
This summer I have a great opportunity to go a field school in St. Augustine, Florida. This field school focuses on underwater archaeology – also called nautical archeology – which is what I want to do in life. Through this program, I will have the opportunity to explore a 1782 British shipwreck off the coast of Florida.
Unfortunately, this field school is very expensive, but I need to have it on my resume for my career. To make this dream become real I ask that people please donate some money to help me spend the summer in Florida looking at the British ship from the Revolutionary War. The money is needed by the end of May and will help cover the cost of transportation, insurance, and the cost of the overall field school.
If you donate I will be forever grateful because I will be furthering my experience in the field of archaeology. This will help me so much in my education and later on in life because I want to do underwater archaeology as a career path. So I thank you in advance for making a college student’s dream easier and for helping me in my career path. You have no true idea how grateful I will be if you donate and hopefully someday I can return the favor.
