The pandemic is RUINING our life

we had made the decision to start a family and purchase our first home just before the pandemic began. My spouse lost their job (they got rid of her position in July 2020) and now we have half our normal income. This past year has been incredibly difficult to say the least. 

Depression is hitting us hard as we begin to recognize that we're unable to move forward in our lives (moving backwards if anything). One month after realizing my wife did not have a job to return to we suddenly had vet bills in the thousands (our girl became very ill in August 2020), amongst all our normal bills/rent that we are barely getting by paying. I guess you could say this is a plea in desperation, we are asking for compassion and trust in our situation. 

We have had to empty our savings account (savings for a down payment for our first house) to pay our vet bills and rent... so now we are barely getting by. With the second lockdown in place, this feels like our only option. 

I really don't know when this will all be over, but I do know that this continues to put a strain on our financial life and family. I could never imagine asking for help from strangers but any amount (even just $5) would genuinely help us get by right now.
