Julie Thillen's Service Dog Willy
Donation protected
Julie Thillen is a quadriplegic and cannot speak due to heart surgery that has caused several strokes. Julie has worked hard for with her OT & nurses to try to earn enough to purchase an Australian Labradoodle Service Dog and have Assistance Dogs of the West train him for Julie special needs. Since Julie can't speak her dog needs to be able to respond to recorded commands. Her hope is to not only have a constant companion but alert caregivers of seizures, respiratory distress so she feels less anxious.
Julie uses her left arm to press sewing pedal to sew & make dog beds to earn towards her future service dog. Julie also wants Future Willy to assist with bringing items, help with mobility (Julie is working hard with a harness hanging from the.cieling in a lift to try to bear weight). Julie is so thankful to all those that have been there to support her many medical needs. Future Willy will allow Julie moments of independence. All funds will be used directly for the purchase, training, certification and transportation of Willy the Service Dog.
May God Bless you all and whether you are able to donate or not ...always know how Blessed you are.
