Hello! On June 9th my car was totaled in an accident where I was not at fault. Because I’m financing (7 year loan very high interest) the pay off will go to capital one, leaving me with no car and nothing to show for the past 4 years of payments.
On top of this already financially crippling ordeal, I have two high interest loans taken out during the height Covid to pay my car, bills and keep food on the table. I will be paying those loans off for the next 4 years, I’m all maxed out and payed June’s rent 26 days late! I have multiple jobs/gigs but I’ve been in debt since before the pandemic and it’s just been getting worse and worse.
With this fundraiser, I would like to raise enough money for a downpayment on an electric car. I can no longer afford to drive 25 miles to work and back with gas prices as they are. I’m spending at least 400 a month on just gas and I can’t sustain like this anymore. I’m hoping to get my car mid-September so I can give my sweet grandmother her car back and stop putting so many miles onto it.
I’m really struggling physically, emotionally and financially. It’s as if I’m being consumed from quicksand. This car will help me to spend less money but also give me the space and autonomy to start another side business and make more money. Hopefully this will the be the push I need to finally breath again.
