Money to support my mom

Donation protected
My name is Stacy and I am trying to raise money to help my mom.

My mom has been a single parent ever since I was little as my dad died when I was 2. My mom had two kids at the time, my older brother and myself; she was pregnant with my little brother when my dad got a heart attack and passed away December 6, 1995. Four days later she gave birth to my little brother. Under the stress of losing a husband and a father, my mom still continued to push forward to give us kids the best life she could give; even going so far as to pick up hard physical labor.

As years passed and as us kids got older it started to become harder and harder on my mom to keep up with paying bills. She never accepted assistance and she was always that kind caring person that would help a friend out in any way she could. She took up being an electrician as an occupation. She was good at what she did and she was happy with it! During my freshman year of college, a ladder my mom was standing on to do some electrical broke from underneath her, and she ending up breaking her pelvis in three different places. She was hospitalized and went through physical therapy through one and a half years and she returned to work three months after her accident to continue supporting us kids in any way she could.

During my spring semester of my junior year of college my mom ended up becoming really weak and sick. She was continuously going back and forth to the hospital for tests to figure out why she was feeling the way she was. After almost a year, at the start of my senior year in college, my mom was diagnosed with a rare disease called Churg-Strauss Syndrome which is an auto-immune condition that causes inflammation of small and medium sized blood-vessels that manifests in three stages. From what the doctor told us, they assumed my mom is at the second stage which has an abnormally high number of eosinophils that cause tissue damage to the lungs and the digestive tract. Despite this disease, my mom still continues to go to work to provide and help the three of us kids go through college and trade schools.

My mom was dealt a bad hand from the start. My goal is to finish college in May of 2015 and then support her from then on out with the accounting degree I'm earning so that she can finally have a breather and live out her life the way she wants to. I have around four months left of school. I just want to raise enough money to help my mom get through four months until my brothers and I can start pitching in with our jobs. She means the world to me and I can’t stand to see her struggle. Any amount of donations would be greatly appreciated!
