SANCTUARY SENIORS NEED HELP !
 
Small Dog Big Deal ( Independent Rescue ) did full time rescue ( the entire rescue enchilada from pull to placement )  from 2008 to 2013 - We have NO IDEA how many animals we helped out of shelters or off the streets, but we do know - a few stayed on in our rescue  due to temperment/chronic illness/bad habits/lack of homes .... Our Tiny Sanctuary was Born !
Our Sanctuary is Home to 7 cranky fuzzies who I have been able to independantly support - at this time, the ENTIRE SANCTUARY PACK needs Medical Update - it is beyond my resources to achieve this alone ! Blood panels, BADLY needed Dentals ! - with this life saving basic care, our seniors will enjoy good health and happy lives -  We are working with a local Vet, NOVAK ANIMAL CARE CENTER 332 London Bridge Rd. PUDDIN POPS !
Puddin's was saved from Downey Shelter - depressed, sick, fly strike / scars - severe flea dermatitus .. his tiny 5 lbs self had been banished to a back yard ... with a tiny friend .. they were kept with larger animals and had to fight for their food ... Puddin's ear is split probably from a fight for food .. he was never neutered.
With the HELP of our rescue community - Puddin's and his little buddy were pulled OUT of Downey Shelter in CA. and GOT dentals .. vaccinations/deworm care for skin ailments/alter the WORKS - and most of all .. a warm bed INSIDE .. with lots of good food .. and LOVE ...
Puddin's , we found out .. is terrified of thunder and lightening .. he now rides out the storms in a lap ! Our most fierce is the most in need of comfort <3
Puddins' is potty pad trained, about 14 years old now ..good with kids/other dogs/cats .. but ... he is a one person lover - AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ! Puddin's was placed once, and sadly .. picked a nurse caregiver as his arch enemy .. he would chase her down on 3 " legs and yell the whole way ... lol .. he will gum shoes ... but usually, the " charge " will end after about 4 ' ... Puddin's also loves to overeat

Today is December 18th 2014, Time to tell the Story of Waffles .. Mr. Dopolis, Wafo Dapo .. Bapo .. Was forsaken by his family of 14 years, and found himself in Upland Shelter CA- with poo filled mats ..horrible dental disease, the staff noted he was less than thrilled to be handled - BUT this darling little man - was so cute, he was adopted ! Then returned 2 weeks later - the family said " he was unpredictable " .. they never addressed his medical issues.
Small Dog Big Deal took Waffles in ! The rescue community worked together to give Wapo his Much Needed Dental ! 14 teeth removed ! After recovery .. we did try to place Waffles, but with both a heart condition .. and ... a penchant for turning into ' the awful Waffle " .. we were afraid for this funky old man, to go thru another homing, considering all his issues.
I became, the only person, to be able to pick Waffles up - but only if I do not abuse the privledge .. lol Waffles , has grown soft in his old age, he is now 17 - he loves to sit in laps .. get his ears scratched .. and be in bed by 9 lol .. still doesnt care for strangers .. or all body petting. We are blessed to know him. He taught us alot about patience, and finding treasures where you might not know to look <3
