Ryan Williamson Recovery and Relief
Donation protected
On December 10, 2014, my good friend Ryan Williamson of Orangeburg, South Carolina, was involved in a near fatal accident at work. Ryan, 25 years old and a B Class Lineman at Sumter Utilities, was in a bucket truck with his supervisor, Mike Pearson, performing pole change-outs on an energized power line. Unaware of the cause of the accident, Ryan and Mike made electrical contact with the 44,000 voltage power line. The electricity entered Ryan's left hand and came out of his right side. Both men were knocked unconscious and sent to the Wake Forest Burn Center in Winston-Salem, NC. As a result of the accident, Ryan has lost his left forearm and hand, about two inches below his elbow. He is severely burned and will require multiple surgeries and skin grafts, as well as physical therapy. Needless to say, Ryan is out of work and his life will never be the same after this accident. He has a long and difficult recovery ahead of him, as well as astronomical medical bills and lost wages. Please consider helping. Any and all prayers, donations of any size, and support to this young man will be greatly appreciated by him and his family. Thank you very much!
