IVF through Egg Donation Treatment

Dee and Pat are together 7 years and married for 5, and after years of trying for a baby, they could never conceive.

They went to a fertility clinic in dublin where they were told they both needed to lose a lot of weight so they both got gastric bypass surgery. Pat lost 8 stone and Dee lost 10, so they started fertility treatment after months of harsh diet and exercise to be in best physical shape possible.

The IVF journey included very painful treatments for Dee to get her body ready for egg retrieval. However, when the retrieval procedure started the only good follicle that Dee had had collapsed and there were no eggs to implant. The next day she got the call to say that she is not producing her own eggs and the only hope for them is a doner egg.

Also they were told after one round that their funding has been pulled and they now need to pay for more cycles and a doner. They can not stretch to this financially and it's their dream to have what others have. So they really need all the help they can get.
