IVF

My family and friends have watched me struggling with fertility issues (PCOS) for just over 5 years now. So many medications,a laparoscopy and sadly losing a baby through ectopic pregnancy. I have shared my journey openly from the start and shown that things aren’t always easy but also opened my heart for people to share similar experiences for support. I made a blog in the past and can hopefully make another in the future. I started my fertility journey with my ex partner but we have since parted ways.

As I near 30 my dream of being a Mother is slowly slipping away.

All investigations and tests have already been carried out resulting in me finding out I have a very low chance of ever falling pregnant naturally as my tubes are blocked. My only option to be a Mother is IVF.

After long and hard consideration, lots and lots of tears and chats with my closest friends and family..

I have decided to ‘go solo’ and follow through with IVF alone with a donor. I know I am more than capable of being both parents and giving a child the most wonderful life.

While discussing my situation and the expense with my family and friends they suggested to make this page as they would all like to contribute towards my IVF journey. Whether that be £1 or £10 I would be eternally grateful to even meet a small percentage of my target. I have spoken to a few clinics and for a consultation and scan the initial payment would be £350 and then to carry on with one round of IVF with donor sperm would be between £5000-£8000. I fully understand this will take time to raise/fund my dream as it is a large amount but I’m happy to wait while I prepare myself for my biggest and best adventure yet.
