In Loving Memory of Baby Ivan Jr.

At forty weeks most women can't wait for the moment to hold there baby they have been carrying for the last nine months in there arms, as for me it was difficult. November 1st Me and my husband went in to have a sonogram done, hoping to find the gender of this beautiful blessing god had given us, but only to find out to be one of the worst days of our life. I felt as if I couldn't breathe, Like a ton of bricks were laid upon my chest, and uncontrollably crying. Not only did I find out that it was a baby boy but that he had a health condition. My son has anencephaly, a very rare condition where the baby is born with an underdeveloped brain and incomplete skull. March 22, 2018 I gave birth to the most beautiful baby boy, Ivan Neftali Escobar Jr. . He weighed 4 pounds, 4 ounces and was 17 inches long. I got to hold him on my chest, we got to carry him in our arms. My daughter got to love him and kiss him and my husband and I got to love on him as well. Unfortunately, he passed away minutes later. But I thank god for that little bit of time we had with him and now we have to lay him at rest. He is now in a better place and I know he's being taken care of. Our little Angel.
