"Qualifies for Triathlon World Championships"
On August 12th, 2017 Katie Johnson from the Minneapolis MN area competed in the US Nationals for Triathlon in Olympic Long Distance in Nebraska. Katie’s finish qualified her for the World Championships in 2018 in the 30-34 age group taking place in Australia!
Katie, wife and mother of two has been competing in triathlons for the last seven years. This passion started with track and field during her collage years.
The 2017 US Nationals in Nebraska was the second US Nationals she has competed in, and The World championships in Australia , is the first World championship she has qualified for. The International Triathlon Union (ITU); Long Distance Triathlon is composed of a swim, bike ride, and a run.
All expenses are the responsibility of each competitor, and travel alone will be $3000. I am hoping through Go Fund Me to help my daughter make this dream come true. The World Championship is in September 2018 and funds will be needed by August. Thank you in advance for any and all help making this happen. God Bless
