It's Not the Same Anymore Short Film

IT’S NOT THE SAME ANYMORE is a queer coming-of-age short film made by queer people, for queer people. It follows the story of Reece, a hopeless romantic, as she navigates her first real heartbreak by venturing into the queer online dating scene, which is filled with awkward interactions, feelings of disappointment, and rude awakenings. In a climactic collision of exes and their exes, will Reece be able to find what she's looking for, or will she be drawn back into her past? Drawing inspiration from Booksmart, Fleabag, and 500 Days of Summer, this is a story about love, heartbreak, self worth, and identity.

We will be shooting in July of 2022, and hope to raise $1,500 by then. These funds will be used for:

 

Our Goals:

In a media landscape that is often lacking in positive LGBTQ+ representation, we hope to present the story of a complex character who is allowed to be human but ultimately is the agent of her own journey. Our production is led by queer creators, and much of our team is made up of queer and female filmmakers.
