Approximately 6 weeks ago, my friends Mike and Nicole Humenik found out their 18 month old son Calvin has Neutroblastoma. He is a tough little guy, and has just completed his 1st round of chemotherapy. He has more to go and a challenging road ahead. When things like this occur it is a time for family and friends to come together and help. I decide to participate in my first 5K run on September 9th, at Smith's Point Beach, Shirley, NY, and donate all the money raised to help with Calvin's medical expenses. Mike and Nicole are very giving and generous people. They are not aware of this idea, as I really hope to be able to tell them on the day of race and present them with this gift. It takes a village, and lord knows my family and friends, our Bellport families (Mike is class of 1992), our Primerica families and our communities always come together in times of need. Thank you in advance for your donation. I love each and every one of you for supporting me in this decision. This is not about me, its all for Calvin!
