It's Our Home

This is our home.  We live in an RV, because it's cheaper than owning a home.  No taxes, no utilities, only gas and rent.  And we get to see the country, when we are able to travel.

Our home is thirty years old.  The engine runs, but needs work.  We've had to repair the brakes and steering.   Cabinets are sagging, and there are holes in the floors and walls.  The roof leaks when it rains.  There is a hole somewhere in the propane lines, so we had to shut it off.  We have no heat.

But that's not the worst problem.  Last week, while driving to a warmer town, the heater coil caught fire.   The fire spread underneath the dashboard.  Before it was extinguished, everything under the dash was consumed.   All of the wiring is destroyed.



We had to be towed back to the park we had just left.  The rig will probably never move again.   We're stuck for the winter in a town where the temperatures dip below freezing each night.  With no heat.

So, we need a new RV.  I'm not really talking about a "new" vehicle, just new-er.  Something that's ten or fifteen years old will suffice, as long as it's insulated and in good running condition.  I've looked around, and I know I can buy a good RV for the amount listed.  Financially, though, I can't afford a loan.  I'm on Social Security, and can't afford the payments.
