Help make aerials happen in Victoria!
Island Circus Space is a local contemporary circus school and performance company that has been working hard towards bringing circus to Victoria. The search for a home to call our own began in 2016 which proved to be difficult and long. As we quickly discovered, very few existing buildings here in Victoria have the necessary ceiling height as well as the correct beams to rig aerial equipment off of. In order to keep our dream alive, we had to make a compromise and go for a space that cannot support aerial rigging as it is.
This is where we can use your help!
In order to maintain our high standard of safety, we require a custom built steel structure to be installed within our space from which we will then be able to rig aerial apparatuses. But with this comes the price tag of engineer’s fees, manufacturer's fees, inspections, installation, and more. We are working hard to be able to cover this, but allocating such a large chunk of our start-up funds to this structure means that there will be a delay in being able to purchase a wider variety of equipment. The sooner we can cover these expenses, the sooner we can provide more exciting new apparatuses to the community!
We want nothing more than to share our love of all that is circus and would be eternally grateful for any assistance that you can provide to us. This structure is the foundation of a vibrant circus community and we just need a little help to get things growing.
