Ischemic Stroke and Severe Vaccine Injury SCLS

Donation protected
My name is Ryan, I'm 47 years old. I experienced a brain bleed stroke with total left-side paralysis on 3/7/22. Thankfully the bleed was able to be stopped within hours at the hospital before I perished. I reside in Washington State, USA, and was required to take at least one dose of the Covid-19 vaccine *per state mandate* to be able to discharge to an assisted living/physical therapy facility. I suffered a severe vaccine injury. We finally had a hematologist review the labs and care reports on 6/19/23, and she shocked us with the news that I likely suffered a very rare case of Systemic Capillary Leak Syndrome (SCLS) due to the Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine. Apparently, I am the 6th-7th case worldwide from the Covid-19 vaccine! With SCLS, the capillary wall cells spread apart and allow widespread internal bleeding. It started with pain spreading from the injection site, extreme fatigue, slight fever, and various sensory changes. I felt like I was burning up but I was only 99*. I developed a rash/edema, and started coughing up and vomiting blood. My kidneys failed, and I developed severe heart arrythmia. My blood pressure dropped and I went into shock from blood volume loss. The hospital didn't know what was causing this at the time, but quick IV infusions of albumin, fluids, and antibiotics saved my life. Unfortunately, the fight wasn't over yet. The body goes through a delayed re-absorption phase with SCLS, and following that my blood started to clot badly and I experienced a bi-lateral pulmonary embolism (blood clots in both lungs). When I arrived at the ER I was almost dead with 86% o2, 131 H/R, and 88/58 blood pressure. Despite rebleed risk, over the next week a heparin infusion diffused the clots, and together with being on oxygen, I survived. A mild heart attack has not been ruled out, and this has left me with an aortic aneurysm as well.
VAERS assigned me a case manager who confirmed my injury as one of the worst that survived. The CICP (countermeasure injury compensation program) has only confirmed that "my case is in line for review" via a canned email response 3-times:( My insurance has a $6,000 out-of-pocket maximum which we easily hit in 2022 and then again just this June in 2023. At least it doesn't keep going up, as I have a myriad of tests coming up now that we know what happened. This July, funds from this fundraiser made the difference allowing us to make the minimum payment on the medical expenses. Thank you to everyone who has donated!
