Isato Takamatsu 2022 World Championship - Ireland

“…But papa, I am Asian…” is the first response I heard from Isato Takamatsu when I informed him of an invitation message from WKA to represent the Team U.S.A. and compete for a world championship in Ireland in November this year.

Hello, my name is George Takamatsu and I am Isato’s father. He is an American boy who was born in Chicago in 2006. He has been training very hard on an average of 18 hours each week since he was 7 years old. In 2020, he started competing in full contact fights and within 14 months after the first bout, he earned 3 national titles with his astonishing performances. He now has an opportunity to test his skills in the world championship. As many of you already know, he is a very kind, quiet and humble boy who is actually 75% Japanese and 25% Chilean (wearing the Chilean national soccer team shirt in the photo). I would like to capitalize this opportunity to seek for your help; the funds raised will be allocated to and spent in registration fees, team uniforms, airfares, lodging and transportation. In advance, I would like to thank you very much for helping him and his team for the world championship.

今年の11月にアメリカチームを代表してアイルランドで世界選手として要らばれたよ、と息子のIsatoへ伝えたら、「…でもパパ、私はアジア人だよ…」という返答です（笑）。

こんにちは George Takamatsuと申します。Isato Takamatsuの父です。Isatoは2006年にシカゴで生まれたアメリカ人で、7歳の時から毎週平均18時間、一生懸命トレーニングしています。 2020年に彼はFull Contactの試合へ出場し始めました。最初の試合から14ヶ月以内に、彼の驚くべきパフォーマンスで3つの全国タイトルを獲得。今回の世界選手権で、彼のスキルをテストする機会できた次第で御座います。ご存知のように、彼はとても親切で静か、そして謙虚な少年で、実際には日本人の血が75％、チリ人が25％です（写真のチリ代表サッカーチームのシャツを着ています）。この機会を利用して、皆様の助けを求めたいと思います。集められた資金は、登録料、チームユニフォーム、航空運賃、宿泊、交通機関に割り当てられます。何卒宜しくお願い致します。

“…Pero papá, soy asiático…” es la primera respuesta que escuché de Isato Takamatsu cuando le informé de un mensaje de invitación de la WKA para representar al equipo de EE. UU. y competir por un campeonato mundial en Irlanda en noviembre de este año.

Hola, mi nombre es George Takamatsu y soy el padre de Isato. Isato es un niño estadounidense que nació en Chicago en 2006. Ha estado entrenando muy duro en un promedio de 18 horas cada semana desde que tenía 7 años. En 2020, comenzó a competir en peleas de contacto total y, dentro de los 14 meses posteriores a la primera pelea, ganó 3 títulos nacionales con sus asombrosas actuaciones. Ahora tiene la oportunidad de probar sus habilidades en el campeonato mundial. Como muchos de ustedes ya saben, es un chico muy amable, tranquilo y humilde que en realidad es 75% japonés y 25% chileno (usando la camiseta de la selección de fútbol de Chile en la foto). Me gustaría aprovechar esta oportunidad para buscar su ayuda; los fondos recaudados se destinarán y gastarán en cuotas de inscripción, uniformes de equipo, pasajes aéreos, alojamiento y transporte. De antemano, me gustaría agradecerles mucho por ayudarlo a él ya su equipo para el campeonato mundial.
