Isabella was first diagnosed with Stage 2B Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in August 2018. She quickly started her first round of chemo, but had an allergic reaction to one of the medications and went into anaphylaxis shock.
The doctors were able to change her medications and she continued to have chemotherapy, as well as multiple PET and CT scans throughout the following months.
She successfully completed her last chemo treatment in December of 2018 and began radiation in January. She completed radiation in February of 2019, continuing with ongoing PET and CT scans to monitor her progress. Scans showed she was in remission and the mass size was steadily decreasing.
She continued scans through out 2019 and 2020 and in August she was diagnosed with relapsed Hodgkin Lymphoma.  Due to this new mass being found in a similar area, radiation is not an option.
She has again begun chemotherapy. Her current treatment plan includes 1 month hospitalization, multiple chemo drugs, a stem cell transplant, blood transfusions, antibiotics, and anti-viral medicines. She will also have breathing treatments due to get lowered immune system and stem cell extractions.
To complete all of this there will be multiple trips to the hospital and clinic, which are both about 65 miles (1 hour 15 minutes) from their home. This includes each day of treatment, any time she has a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher, additional appointments for stem cell extraction and blood work, and other various appointments. Family is traveling frequently from Pennsylvania to Virginia to try to assist with Isabella' s schedule and help her sister, Annabelle.
Through all of this Isabella wants to continue schooling as she has been (online), with little to no extra time to complete assignments. This will be hard especially when she starts the high impact chemo treatment, but she is determined to still keep at it.
Please consider donating to help ease the stress of mounting medical costs, as well as frequent travel expenses.
