Up With People Yearlong Program

Hello, my name is Isaac Russell and I started traveling with Up with People in July 2018. Up with People is a non-profit, global performance and education program. I have decided that I would like to do a second semester traveling and learning about different cultures as well as making an impact wherever I go. I have worked and performed in multiple communities throughout the Midwest USA, Mexico, Sweden, and Denmark. During the next semester I will be working and performing in the West USA, Mexico, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark.

Up with People enters communities around the world that they see need inspiration to make the world a better place. Through music and action, they inspire youth to be positive agents of change to build a more hopeful, trusting, and peaceful world. They work in schools, facilitating workshops that will hopefully inspire young people and give them the tools to make a change. They work in different non-profits like Red Cross or food banks as volunteers. They work as volunteers for different park cleanup projects.

At the end of each week, as a thank you to the community for welcoming Up with People, they perform a show. The show is designed to inspire people to make a difference. They have original Up with People songs that have a theme created by young people about the issues they see need fixed in the world. They also have different medleys that are just fun but are made up of popular songs from all over the world.

In order to travel starting in January I will need to raise $10,000 as soon as possible. I have a goal of raising $5,000 by January 15th.
