Isaac Davis, 17, died tragically in a car accident on June 14, 2021.  A rising senior in the Carpentry Department at Windham Technical High School, Ike was loved by everyone he met.  His spirit lifted up the room whenever he walked in - at school, at sports, with his friends, and with his family; while he is no longer physically with us, we know his loving spirit will live on in all who knew him.

Isaac lived in Willington, CT, with his mother, Tammy Glaeser (art teacher at E.O. Smith High School), and brother, Max and also with his father Steven Davis of Willington, CT. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by  grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, and he will be dearly missed by his friends and family.

Isaac was a humorous, caring soul who had a constant smile, loved his dog Lucy, and often sought out his mom to give her a hug and tell her he loved her.  Ikey (as he was known in his home) and his brother Max enjoyed playing basketball together, sitting around campfires, and attending music festivals.  Constantly thinking of others, Ike had incredible empathy and kindness for his peers.  His friends describe him as "the classmate who was so easy to get along with," and "the kid whom parents want their own kid to be like."  Ike lived his life being the best version of himself.   Ike had just completed a project constructing a memorial bench for another student from Windham Tech who has been tragically killed this past fall.  Ike took great pride in the project and was honored to be a part of this work.  Ike was also a pivotal member of the Windham Tech Varsity Boys basketball team, and he will be greatly missed by his teammates.

Ike spent his last day in school on Monday wearing a pink shirt and teaching his history teacher how to play poker.  Upon learning of his sudden and unexpected death, students wore pink to school at Windham Tech on Tuesday to honor and remember the wonderful person who made everyone around him laugh.

There are no words of comfort that we can offer to Isaac's parents at this time, but we know that we do not want them to be burdened with funeral expenses.  Please consider making a donation to the Isaac Davis Funeral Fund.  We hope to be able to cover all expenses and provide financial support to the family during this surreal time.  Any additional expenses raised will be given to Isaac's mother, Tammy,  so that the family can find ways to continue honoring their son’s memory.
