A year ago next month, our dream of owning our own business came to be when we opened our doors in Five Points. Since the beginning, we have been blessed with an outpouring of support from our friends, family, and community. We went from relying on family for assistance the first few months to finally standing on our own two feet in a short amount of time.
COVID-19 was something none of us saw coming and especially how much it would impact the service industry as a whole. We do not have any employees other than myself and my partner, so we (thankfully) have not had to lay anyone off, but we depend on the success of our restaurant to keep our doors open and continue to provide for our families.
We are trying to raise funds to pay our everyday expenses such as rent, insurance, and utilities as well as our personal expenses for our households. Though we have been blessed to remain open by providing curbside service and delivery, sales have significantly decreased since this started and we are beginning to feel the impact.
If we are able to reach our goal, we would be able to continue to operate and remain a part of the Five Points community and hopefully make it through this crisis to see the better days that we pray are coming!
