Irma Relief for the Beam Family
In the early morning hours of September 10, 2017, Hurricane Irma made landfall in the Lower Florida Keys. The category 4 storm was the worst the Keys had seen in 25 years, causing significant damage to the home of my in-laws, Peggy and David Beam, on Cudjoe Key. Peggy and David are retired and living off of Social Security. When the storm hit, they were in the early stages of selling their home because they can no longer afford to live down here. Due to our own mounting bills and the fact that Irma directly impacted my own job, making me unsure of when I will be able to return to work, my husband and I are not in a position to help them financially. They need help paying for home repairs, bills, living expenses and medical expenses. FEMA can only do so much. All funds collected will go directly to Peggy and David. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.
