Irene's Knee Surgery

Tax deductible

Irene is a 21-year-old Kenyan woman transitioning into adulthood from King's Kids Village, an orphange in Nairobi.  Irene has been diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis in her knee as a 21 year old. She is in a lot of pain when she walks. The cartilage in her knee has been worn down and, if it were intact, would act as a cushion between the bones. Without that cushion the bones around her knee joint rub together.

Irene needs arthroscopic surgery and biopsy. The surgery, a 4-day in-hospital recovery stay, crutches, and a knee brace will cost $2,000. Any additional funds raised will be used for transportation to and from the hospital and for any other needs Irene may have during this time.

So, how can you help? You can donate money. It's simple. Any amount will help and make a huge difference. You can be the change in Irene's life.

If you can't donate funds, please pray that Irene will have a smooth surgery and a quick recovery.

Thank you for being the change in Irene's life.
