Making youth referees better

Donation protected
When you ask any parent, player or coach what is the WORST part of youth soccer, they ALWAYs say "the Referees".  The Intermountain Referee Education Foundation (IREF) IREF website was created specifically for this reason.  My name is Mark Probert, I played, coached and now referee soccer for most of my adult life. I see the need for better referees. I see the need for BETTER training for referees. IREF is a non-profit organization that seeks to recruit young referees from ages 14 and up to become IREF certified recreational soccer referees. We are in process of training over 50 youth referees in the Salt Lake City area. Our long-term goal is to train every recreational youth referee in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, Colorado, and Wyoming.
This cannot be done in one clinic and that is it. Our goal is to not only train referees.
To properly train youth referees we need the means to have multiple clinics throughout the year.
IREF wants to also inform players, parents and coaches about the laws of the game.  IREF does "ASK THE REF" clinics. This clinic helps anyone understand the mind and mechanics of the referee. This clinic helps you understand that even though you have played the game for many years and THINK you know the laws. You may not. We help fill in the knowledge gaps.
We need your help to make this game we all love better by training our referees, parents, coaches and player the laws and mechanics of the greatest game on earth.
