Bart Tredway Will Beat Cancer!

In August of 2014, Bart Tredway was diagnosed with Stage IV colon cancer. Though he has health insurance, he still has a large out-of-pocket maximum to pay. He has been hospitalized several times, and is receiving chemotherapy every other week until the end of February. After chemotherapy, Bart will need to have surgery to remove the tumor. This will require at least six weeks of recovery time, and we anticipate that several weeks of that, though they will fall under the Family Medical Leave Act, will be unpaid after his paid sick time and vacation time are used.

With the help of people like you, the “Bart Tredway Will Beat Cancer!” campaign will help pay for Bart’s medical expenses now and in the future, and allow him to pay boring bills while he is recovering from surgery. Funds will also be used to help his wife, Christina, and children, Elizabeth and Alexander, if needed.  Funds donated through the GoFundMe site during the campaign will be transferred to an Irrevocable Living Trust Account at Busey Bank in Urbana, Illinois.
