Help send Jen to Nicaragua!

Each spring break the University of Toledo College of Nursing takes a group of nursing students, nurses and doctors to rural Leon, Nicaragua for a medical mission. The culture and the people are beautiful, but there is poverty...and then there is poverty...and this is like nothing we could imagine without seeing it firsthand. 

This March, we will go again to provide basic check-ups and medications that would simply be unattainable otherwise. We will educate them on some important things they need to know about their health and safety. We will bring food, clothes, hygiene items, toys and other necessities to help them get by a little longer. We'll bring them a little bit of hope. The appreciation these people have for the smallest things, things that we take for granted, is humbling.

Please help fund my trip so that I can be part of another incredible week. The big things are of course flight (around $800) and board at El Ayudante ($575). My goal amount doesn't include smaller expenses(vaccines & prevention meds for myself, hotel on the weekend, a few meals out, gifts for the children)...ya'll know I'm pulling my weight picking up extra shifts and babysitting on my days off.
