iPhoneXR robbery while in her Wheelchair

Donation protected
Tammy Culhane, a dear friend of mine and my OPWHL Wheelchair Hockey Goalie, who is confined to a motorized wheelchair, was robbed of her phone in downtown Ottawa Monday December 23 after meeting a would-be buyer. She was selling her iPhoneXR in order for her roommate and her to make ends meet come January.

The incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. Monday night near the YMCA on Argyle Avenue after the woman went to meet a buyer (3 Girls) for her phone in a public place.

The victim of the robbery has been hestiant to speak publicly about the incident but a close friend tells 1310NEWS she wasn't injured and is shaken up by the incident. She also reported the incident to the YMCA.

A GoFundMe has been started in order to hopefully recoup her loss. On every level this is just plain wrong and Tammy feels badly for ending up in this situation and she's lucky she wasn't attacked or injured.

Any kind of donation would be appreciated to help her land back on her feet especially at this time of year.

Thank you,
