iPads for Vancouver Care Home Residents

Social media tapped me this morning, and notified me of my birthday looming, and asked if I wanted to set up a fundraiser for a local non-profit. While thinking it over and trying to decide which local charity would benefit the most, I could not stop going back to all the news stories that were centred our hard hit local senior community.
This is by no means an original idea, and I commend all the other folks who've made efforts to raise money for their community. For my birthday this year, I'd like to try to raise enough money to donate an iPad (or more?) to a local care home.
My SO and I are fortunate that the grandparents we each still have, are able to care for themselves, and have access to technology that helps them stay connected to their families. Over the last three weeks, I've been exposed to countless stories of care homes in particular affected by COVID-19. As the government has assured us that the social distancing and other preventative measures will assuredly go to the end of April, if not longer, I hope to provide other seniors with tools to be able to connect with their families as well.
Many care homes cannot afford devices like tablets, or laptops for their clients, and run on very tight budgets. Any additional money raised that doesn't cover the full purchase price of a device will be donated to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of my Grandmother (Her birthday would have been on April 12), that we lost to Ovarian Cancer, and my Mother (her birthday is April 8), that just completed her chemo treatment for Lymphoma, on April 3.
I've never tried to raise money like this before so apologies if there's any formatting or awkwardness, and I know it's a tough time for a lot of my friends. A share goes just as far as a donation, as the more visibility, the more reach the fundraiser will get.
