Haley's Medical Fund

The Morris family needs your help! Here is baby Haley at the age of two weeks happily living at home with her mommy, daddy, and sister Chloe. Now she is 8 weeks old and fighting for her life at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Haley was born on September 30th at Fairfax Hospital. She was born healthy, pink, and with a great set of lungs! Her daddy noticed her eyes were a little yellow but the family was assured that she was fine. At a follow-up appointment with the pediatrician, Haley was sent to the hospital to get tested for jaundice. After several visits, the family was told that Haley's "numbers were good" and that she just had "breastfed jaundice". Over the next several weeks, Amber noticed her baby was still yellow. She continued to repeatedly call the pediatrician, take the baby in for checks, and was constantly reassured that the baby was fine.
One day a friend of Amber's, who happens to also be a pediatric nurse, came to visit. She told Amber the baby looked too yellow and to get her to the doctor immediately. Amber took her in and Haley was sent for a CAT scan, ultrasound of her liver, and blood tests. The Morris's were told that Haley was in liver failure and transported her to Johns Hopkins. Once there, a liver biopsy was done, which confirmed she is in liver failure and needs a transplant. The doctors told Amber and Jeff that this will cost them "hundreds of thousands of dollars" over what the insurance will pay and will take some time to fix. The next day a surgeon who created the Kasai procedure was flown to Hopkins to perform his life-saving procedure on her along with other doctors and a "fresh team". Haley's bile duct was removed along with her gallbladder and 20% of her liver. They were replaced with a segment of her small intestines and it took 7 hours!

Here is baby Haley now. The staff at Hopkins are hoping to keep her healthy until she is about a year old when they intend to transplant a portion of her daddy's liver into her. When she goes home from the hospital, if she catches even a cold, she has to be airlifted back to Hopkins for care.
Please find it in your heart to donate for Haley's medical and transportation expenses, as well as the testing for her daddy to hopefully become her donor, and the surgeries they will both need.
Thank you for anything you can give! Everyone appreciates your prayers for baby Haley.
