Women Run The Economy is an organization that creates pathways for women to become financially independent, by making their aspirations tangible and their dreams achievable.

Where we currently stand: Women Run The Economy 501(c)(3) status is partially approved and still pending. Once we officially receive our exempt status letter, donations received while the application was pending will be honored as tax-deductible contributions retroactive to the date of our organization's formation. (All donors will be contacted and sent their tax-deductible invoice.) Our goal is to hit the ground running upon approval. To do so we need funding, and that is how we are hoping you can help...

100% of the funds raised will be used to create our first round of programs & networking events to sponsor women in need, as well as our next in-person fundraising events.

About Us - Alicen & Kirti

Founded by two college-educated businesswomen who have personally experienced many of the struggles that other female entrepreneurs face. This foundation was created to provide resources & support to make the path to success easier for other women with big dreams, families to support, and communities that rely on them.

Alicen is a single mother raising two beautiful daughters in Oxford, Michigan, where she runs her own business and is actively impacting her community. She is a member of her local PTO and the Social Chair of her neighborhood. Through these experiences, she has learned how valuable women are to their communities, and that their roles extend beyond their homes. Her community relies on her to build bridges between businesses and communities through service, fun and of course, great food! She knows from personal experience the challenges that women often face in terms of achieving goals, both when supported and unsupported by men. Her mission is to make the world a better place where her daughters, and all women, can succeed based solely on their own merits.

Kirti is a single business professional that travels all over the United States as an HR Communications Lead for a fortune 500 company. She understands the personal sacrifices that many women have to make to build a successful career. These sacrifices led to her commitment to positively impact the world by living a philanthropic lifestyle. She provides financial support to U.S. 501c3s that aid children's causes and financially backs an orphanage in India. She is also the backbone of her extended family and ensures that everyone's needs are more than met. It was through Kirti's divorce that she realized her desire to make an impact on women's causes. It is now her mission to ensure that no woman ever feels trapped in her situation; she now believes that to truly help the children in this world, one must start with creating financial freedom for their mothers (which she still aspires to become herself one day).

They both claim it was purely divine intervention that their paths crossed and that they couldn’t be more grateful that the Universe sent them the best friend they didn’t know they needed. Though they spend much of their time miles apart, they stay connected with their shared dream to create a 501c3 to bring social justice and equality for future generations of women and children.
