Westview Elementary School served as a cornerstone of north Zanesville from 1913 until 2010. Dedicated principals and teachers at the school nurtured more than three generations of students during its 97-year history. The building was demolished in December of 2016 to meet the changing needs of the community.
The Muskingum Valley Park District is seeking a $450,000 Clean Ohio Fund grant to acquire and develop Westview into a community open space park. To meet application requirements for this state funding we must identify sources for a 25% local match. We’ve already identified $60,000 towards our goal of $112,500. Your investment will help insure our success.
The Muskingum Valley Park Society is a non-profit corporation that supports the Muskingum Valley Park District.
