#InThisTogether - Small Business Recovery Fund

Tax deductible

On behalf of the Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion and our community partners, we are raising funds to support small businesses impacted by the unrest in Long Beach.

The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion acknowledges the recent tragic deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmaud Arbery, in addition to the ongoing violence against Black Americans throughout our country's history. Now is the time to embrace racial and economic equity as we build a more equitable, safe, inclusive, prosperous community.

Economic Inclusion includes supporting our small businesses, especially in the most under-served areas of Long Beach. Our small businesses have been facing a growing uphill battle during this difficult time, impacted by the pandemic and a downturn in the economy.

You can join us in answering the City's call to support our neighbors with the "Long Beach Strong" small business recovery movement. Consistent with our "#InThisTogether for Long Beach" recovery fund will support small businesses impacted by the unrest, by providing funding to assist with insurance deductibles and costs associated with repairs and reopening.

You can support the fund now by making a gift of any amount that is significant to you. We will continue to share ways you can help as we strengthen our community.  Join our email list to stay up to date at: https://bit.ly/lbceielist

Thank you for supporting Long Beach.

NOTE: United Cambodian Community is lending their GoFundMe account to this effort to receive funds on behalf of the The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion. UCC is not receiving funds for this campaign. All donations will be given directly to Long Beach businesses. Learn more about UCC at www.ucclb.org

ABOUT US

The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion (LBCEI) is a nonprofit Community Development Corporation. We envision a Long Beach where entrepreneurs, youth, workers, and individuals have the tools and opportunities to build vibrant neighborhoods, successful businesses, and healthy, resilient families. Our mission is to expand inclusive economic opportunities for all communities in Long Beach. We build capacity, expand economic opportunity and align community initiatives across the City in the areas of Housing and Homeownership, Entrepreneurship and Small Business Support, Workforce and Youth Development and Economic Resiliency/Connectedness. Earlier this year, due to the health and economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion Board of Directors authorized an emergency response plan to redirect program funding to best serve low-income working families and underrepresented small businesses most affected by this crisis, especially  in North, Central and West Long Beach.

With the current state of our communities and economy, the violence against our Black American neighbors, and the unrest around us, we are focusing on the recovery of our community and welcome your support.
