Mission Trip To Honduras

Dear Family and Friends,
God is continuing to do some incredible things in my life. As many of you already know, last summer, He called me to serve as a nursing intern in Tegucigalpa, Honduras for a month. It was a life changing experience that taught me so much more than I could have ever imagined possible. Honduras is one of the poorest countries in Latin America with 65% of the population living below the poverty line. While previously serving I have fallen in love with the Honduran people, culture, and the work that God is doing through World Gospel Outreach. This summer God has opened the door to yet another amazing opportunity. I will be going back to serve as a nursing intern again for two months but will also be taking a team down from the States to serve for a week. I will be leading a team of 10 people May 26th through June 2nd and my internship will be until July 11th. We will be going with an organization called World Gospel Outreach (WGO). While in Honduras we will first meet the physical needs of the people, then use the opportunities that God provides in those moments to share the Gospel. During the week we will be serving at two separate churches, each for two days, providing free medical, dental, and optical care. We are also blessed to be able to pour two concrete floors for families in the community. As an intern I will be working alongside the Honduran doctors in providing medical care for those who come to the clinic and work in the pharmacy while at the mission house preparing medications for the clinics. One of the biggest ways I could use support is through your prayers. Please pray for travel mercies and good health for the team and myself. I would also ask that you pray for the people being served, for their hearts, that they would be receptive to the work we will be doing. My desire is for the love of Jesus to shine through me for all to see. Finally, I could use your prayers for financial provision. The cost for this internship is $2650, which includes travel, housing and other expenses while I’m there. If you feel led to give financially that would be a huge blessing to me. If I receive more than the amount needed, all additional money will be used to buy medical supplies supporting this ministry. I am eager to see what God has in store for this trip.
